How are you suppose to grow with person who is so incompatible person in the universe if the only think you wanna do is to kill your self and you feel that you she only makes you angry and instabile??? Isn't that better to fine someone who makes you feel good? who understands you and don't wanna hurt you? I don't understand your logic. Not do I understand DR Susie's studies about that. But what I do know is that there is no such thing in nature as falling in love with the most incompatible to one self.
how to I even convince my husband to watch these with me and practice what we need to bond. my husband completely rejects that we have any issues and continues to be unfaithful to me because he gets the joy u should get in a relationship in other girls. then I snoop around and put my nose is his business and get clingy because I told trust him which makes him not trust me and think I'm cheating and makes him go look for another female to use as an outlet. I know how to ask but how do I get him to say yes and listen and actually practice it with me?

I was in love with a girl in my colg days, but due to certain issues, we couldn't make it. Then i got forced marriage with a girl, it didn't liked, i tried finding good in her, but it couldn't work, becoz of certain family issues Now i am divorced.
Then i went into a relation with a girl, that i actually wanted in my life, but she was kind of more money oriented and she married a more rich guy.
Now, on my own i found out a girl who is divorced, she is beautiful, but her nature is completely different. I am not sure what must i do. Many thanks for yr advice, was very helpful. I have been with my partner going 6 yrs n currently having a break due to a lot of arguments which r not going anywhere. Currently struggle at this power struggle to the fact that my partner thinks im not listening to him n I'm not indicating him i want to commit to him n I'm not opened to discussion, etc….He thinks my life is my life n take him n his family for granted which to me is not true at all. Cos of that he does not feel connected to me n his heart is not ready to fully commit to me. As a result I know for relationship to work, it requires a lot of effort so I'm trying to save my relationship with me by learning the communication n listening skills n how to resolve conflicts, etc… Any of yr advice will b very much appreciated. me and my husband are in the power struggle phase were we are always fighting and I am always feeling like I am doing everything wrong and walking on egg shells. How can I salvage a 15 year marriage when all we do is fight. How do I communicate my feelings with him without him always thinking I am attacking him. I am on the verge of getting a divorce, when we first got together It was like I was in heaven we laughed we cried together we went on dates. Hey Mr.Bruce ,in my relation ship case , i think we might be unfortunatly in the 2nd stage : power struggle , and it's exactly how you described it ,first we were insanly madly in love then by time and of course because of having lots of fights due to basicly ego and the need of self esteem issus , something started to change , that amazing sparkle in our eyes toward each other started to vanish slowly , and we always talk about how we were madly in love and we want that sparkle back ,so in my opinion we are not taking the " breakin' up " as an option so technicly nowdays we are taking off the " surviving " option ,but on the long term i don't really think that ,this is a fine or an allright option bcuz deeply inside we are in pain and frustration and the blame ( why you changed ? why u became like this & that …) so long story short : we are in a very sensitive situation ,we still love each other and we are not willing to break up but on the other hand we cannot endure the insider pain . i need your help to solve & rescue my relation ship . Very insightful and a great way to explain the stages of relationships. I'm personally at the stability stage and I have found that navigating conflict is absolutely key. For me the pivotal point to moving from power struggle to the stability stage was simply to listen more, be more responsive, stop reacting and understanding that the course of a conflict is determined by the person who responds and NOT by the one who starts it. So I stopped reacting and began to consciously listen and consciously act. This elevated the relationship to a whole new level of love and understanding!!! Thank you for your great videos, as a coach myself, I am now a fan and follower of yours. Keep up the good work!!!

My wife has just find out i have a child outside our marriage and it happened long ago with a girl i just had a brief relationship with. It has really resulted in confusion and anxiety in my marriage. Please advice since the mother of that child of mine is demanding for support and am not ready for what she is asking for.
